Here’s an excerpt of my interview with the lovely Lynn, the events manager from beautiful Glenelg Golf Club.

Q: Can you tell us a little bit about your wedding venue?

We have a gorgeous room decorated in neutral tones to suit all Brides preferences and we are very centrally located- close to both the city and the beach. We are known for our view with large wrap around windows making the most of our location and photo opportunities. Our Ceremony spot is perfect! Although we have more than one function room we do not book any other function once we have secured a wedding date. This leads to highly personalised service for our Brides and Grooms and their families.
Q: Do you target any particular niche?

Not at all! We can accommodate all styles of wedding from sit down to cocktail to make our couples dreams of a perfect wedding come true!

Q: What makes your business unique?

Our business is unique due to the highly personalised service we provide. Initial enquiries and all appointments and contact are only with me and I attend every wedding we book. Nothing gets lost in translation and I do form very close relationships with our couples. Nothing is too difficult!

Q: How do you help couples customize their wedding?

We help our couples to customize their weddings in several ways- again nothing is too difficult and I do not use the word no! We have Complete Packages which include everything required for a stunning reception and these include a wide array of choices for our Bride and Groom. I 100 % guarantee the quality of work of all of our preferred suppliers who are part of our packages.

 

 

Q: What is your venue capacity?

A: For a sit down wedding, the maximum including a bridal table is 170. If it’s a cocktail style we can happily accommodate up to 300 guests.

Q: What is included when a bride and groom books with you?

If a couple books a Complete Package it includes;

Canapés and pre-dinner beverages
3 course menu
Beverage package
Centrepieces
Chair covers and sashes
DJ and MC
$250 voucher towards the wedding cake
Wedding night accommodation at the Stamford Grand
All linen
Personalised menus

We also host many Ceremonies and 22 x Americana style chairs, signing table and a 6metre red carpet are included in the Ceremony fee.

Q: Are there any other additional fees that bride and grooms should be aware of?

A: If a couple choose not to have a Complete Package room hire is applicable. I am very upfront about all the costs that are involved, there are no surprises!

Q: What’s your favorite part of the job?

A: Meeting lovely couples and having the opportunity to be a small part of their special day! I do become really quite attached to our Brides and Grooms and as I am an affectionate person it’s always hugs and kisses all around. I love helping to make their wedding day better than they could have ever dreamed. 
