*Wedding Photography FAQ:
*Do you take family photos on the wedding day?
Yes. They will be done nice and quick after the ceremony. If you have a intimate family orinated wedding then we can take more time on the family photos.
*How much time do we need for the bridal portrait?
Usually I would say at least 1 hour-1.5 hours, although we can adjust this to suit your needs.
*What happens if Samantha’s sick on our wedding date?
Samantha has never missed a wedding! If the unthinkable happens, we will have an associate photographer on stand-by in case of emergency. This will be someone with similar artistic style who is fully across your wedding brief.
*How many photos do we get?
It depends on the coverage, It can range from 350-950 images.
*Do we get every photos that you take on my wedding date?
I only delete the photos that are blurry or people have blinked.
*Do you include high resolution images on disc in your package?
Yes, all packages come with fully edited high resolution images on disc without water mark.
*Do you retouch the photos?
I don’t remove any objects from the photos, I don’t make people look thinner.
Each photo is given exposure adjustment, toner adjustment, contract adjustment, and you get a mixture of black and white, colour, and sepia / other colour effect photos. The style will be very similar to the photos that you’ve seen on our website.
*Can we tell you what style we want for our wedding photos?
Feel free to tell us the style that you like. If you don’t have preferences, you’ll get a mixture of candid, elegant, fun and creative photos.
*Do we need to provide you a meal on our wedding date?
It’s very long on the wedding days, so a meal at the reception will be greatly appreciated for half reception/full reception coverage. It’s not required if there’s no reception coverage.
*How do things usually run on a wedding day?
Getting ready
- I usually start with the boys getting ready, as it would require more time for the girls getting make up and hair done. When I arrive, I will take some photos of the details such as the shoes, cuff links, and rings etc. I will then take some photos of the grooms men, the groom and groom’s father if he’s also there. Finally some photos when they’re having fun talking, drinking beer, interacting with each other , and go out to take fun group shots.
- When I arrive for the bride getting ready at the final stage, then I will take some photos of the bride having make up and hair done. Details shots and some shots of the bride alone, by the window, in front of the mirror touching up..etc. I will capture the moment when every one is happy getting ready, helping the bride getting into the dress, some group fun, candid shots and some elegant shots with the girls.
Ceremony
- After the bride is ready, I will dash to the ceremony and prepare to capture the moments when she arrives at the ceremony. I will take some candid shots of her getting out of the car and preparing to make her entrance.
- At the ceremony, I will capture the groom when he sees the bride in the dress for the first time and I will take photos of the bride walking down the aisle . Then it will be saying vows, exchanging the rings, the kiss, signing the marriage certificate etc.
- I will capture the kiss, the moments that everyone congratulates you and the hugs. And then, it will be family photos. It usually takes 30 minutes for the family photos.
Bridal portrait (with bridal party)
After the ceremony I will take some pretty photos of the bride and the groom and the bridal party. I suggest to have around 1-1.5 hours for the photos. (not including travel time)
I will give you some ideas how I will capture the moments of you interacting with each other.
It will be a mixture of elegant, candid, creative and fun photos.- It can be anything you want it to be!
Reception
After the bridal portrait, I will take some detail photos of the reception including the decorations, the cake and the centerpieces etc. before the guests coming in to the reception.
After the grand entrance of the bride, it’s often that the couple will cut the cake first. The photos for the reception will mostly be candid shots. After that follow by the speeches, and then the dance. All this usually happens in the first half of the reception(within 2 hours). I will try to take photos of every table as well but I can not guarantee that I’ll have photos of every guests. If you want to have the dance and cake cutting in the last part of the reception, you may want to choose full reception coverage which will extend my time into the evening.
